Office Hours
Monday to Friday 8.00am- 4.30pm (0800-1630)
Under 2 hours - $110.74
Over 2 hours to 4 hours - $221.59
Over 4 hours to 8 hours - $443.18
Please Note: All charges include payroll tax, superannuation guarantee and an administration fee.
After Hours and Public Holidays
Saturday, Sunday, public holidays and after hours Monday to Friday 4.30pm-8.00am (1630-0800).
Up to 4 hours - $221.59
Over 4 hours up to 8 hours - $443.18
Cancellation
Two days cancellation notice is required. Late notice or failure to cancel assignments by the clients will incur a cancellation fee.
Short duration assignment - $110.74
Day-long assignment - $221.59
Travel and Accommodation
The requesting organisation is responsible for all interpreter's travel and accommodation costs. The Aboriginal Interpreter Service (AIS) will endeavour to assist with meeting the interpreter on arrival, assist with attendance at assignment on the first day and departure arrangements. However, each client should have a contact officer who can assist where the AIS is not able to do so.
Travel Allowance
$73.80 per day (24 Hours). Transport costs (own vehicle or reimbursement of taxi fare) 60 cents per km.
Payment Procedure
The AIS will arrange payments for the interpreter (including travel costs). Where appropriate an invoice will then be sent to the requesting organisation for payment.
